Offline Visitor Counting Systems

SensMax offers a reliable and simple solution for autonomous visitor counting in retail stores, offices, and public buildings. The system is based on battery-powered infrared sensors that require no connection to the internet, Wi-Fi, or a local network.

This system is ideal for facilities where IT infrastructure is absent, the installation of third-party networked equipment is prohibited, or cabling is impossible.

Key Advantages of SensMax Systems (Offline)

[!NOTE] 100% Autonomy: The absence of power and data cables significantly reduces installation and setup costs. Data is collected manually.

  • Ultra-long Battery Life: Sensors operate on standard AA batteries for 1 to 2 years.
  • Easy Installation: Devices are mounted to walls or doorways using double-sided tape or special brackets in just 2-3 minutes.
  • Privacy (GDPR Compliant): Sensors only record quantitative anonymous passage facts without collecting biometric, personal, or video data of visitors.
  • Large Memory Capacity: Sensors store up to 250 days of hourly statistics, and the handheld collector up to 2000 days.

System Architecture

SensMax SE and DE sensors operate completely autonomously. The data accumulated in their memory is read manually by staff using a special portable device — the SensMax SE/DE handheld data collector.

To collect statistics, you simply approach the sensor, point the collector at its front panel, and press the read button. Data is transmitted via a secure infrared channel (range up to 1 meter). Then, the collector is connected to a PC via USB, and the data is transferred to the SensMax EasyReport software for generating reports.

Main System Components

The following types of equipment are used to build an offline counting system:

  • DE Series (bidirectional)

Bi-directional infrared sensors for tracking the direction of movement (In/Out). Memory for 150 days.
