SensGuard X1 Alarm Receiver

1. Description
The SensGuard X1 Alarm Receiver is the central node of the SensGuard wireless optical alarm system. It receives signals from wireless sensors and reacts instantly with a loud 90 dB acoustic signal, as well as by turning on the bright light indicator of the corresponding zone.
Supporting up to 10 control zones and up to 200 sensors in total, the X1 receiver provides reliable monitoring for retail stores, jewelry salons, museums, art galleries, and offices where it is necessary to simultaneously and discreetly monitor multiple objects.
2. How it works
Communication between the sensors, remote controls, and the alarm receiver is protected by powerful AES-128 encryption over the 868 MHz radio channel, which guarantees secure operation without interception and false alarms. The wireless communication range is up to 150m, allowing the receiver to be placed in a security room, utility room, or close to staff for an instant response.
Upon detecting unauthorized movement in the control zone (for example, when opening a showcase without first unlocking it with an RC1 remote), the X1 receiver activates a loud siren. The indicator on the front panel clearly shows exactly which of the 10 zones triggered the alarm.
Unlock Logic: Pressing the button on the remote control unlocks the entire paired control zone at once. Even if 20 sensors are linked to this zone, they will all be temporarily disabled for 5 seconds (enough time to safely open the door).
- If more than one sensor is triggered during these 5 seconds (e.g., two showcases open simultaneously), the system interprets this as a violation and immediately activates the alarm.
- As soon as any of the sensors is activated during these 5 seconds, the system will instantly arm itself back, locking the remaining sensors in that zone.
Thus, if it is necessary to open a showcase without triggering the alarm, the employee should approach the showcase, press the button on the remote control, and immediately open the door.
Notification mode (operation without a remote control): The system can function without the use of a remote control. In this mode, every sensor trigger will initiate an acoustic signal on the receiver. Specifically for this scenario, several variants of short, unobtrusive sounds are provided in the device's memory. This allows using the system to comfortably notify staff about the opening of a showcase, avoiding the activation of a loud alarm siren in the sales area.
Installation is plug-and-play: connect the 5V power adapter (to a socket or via USB), pair the sensors, and assign them to zones.
3. Advantages and key features
- Powerful notification: a loud 90 dB acoustic signal and bright LED indication accurately point staff to the alarm location.
- Scalability: support for up to 10 control zones, up to 20 sensors per zone (200 sensors total per receiver).
- Secure channel: AES-128 encrypted communication prevents sabotage and electronic tampering.
- Wide coverage: a stable wireless network range of up to 150m indoors.
- Easy setup: quick pairing of sensors and remote controls (Pairing Mode).
- Customizable melodies: the ability to choose a notification melody.
4. Application areas
- Retail showcases: protecting jewelry, smartphones, or luxury goods from unauthorized access.
- Windows and doors: detecting opening in sales areas, offices, or warehouses.
- Paintings and exhibits: working together with optical sensors to protect artworks in museums and galleries.
- Complex facilities: flexible zoning for large exhibition halls and retail spaces.

6. Operating instructions
Pairing sensors and remote controls
For the system to work properly, sensors and key fobs must be paired to a specific alarm receiver.
- Connect the X1 receiver to a 5V power source.
- Press and hold the MENU button so the receiver enters Pairing Mode.
- In pairing mode, the indicator of the selected zone will blink on the receiver. Use short presses of the MENU button to switch between zones.
- Pairing a sensor: select a zone on the X1 receiver, then trigger the sensor (for example, open the showcase where it is installed). After successful pairing, the receiver will emit a beep.
- Pairing a remote control: select a zone on the X1 receiver, then press the button on the key fob. (One remote can be paired to multiple zones).
- The system will automatically exit setup mode after 60 seconds of inactivity or after scrolling through all 10 zones with the button.
Deleting pairings
To remove all paired devices from a zone: enter pairing mode, select the desired zone, and then press and hold the MENU button. After a few seconds, all pairings for that specific zone will be erased.
Changing the melody
The user can change the main alarm melody. To switch melodies, press the MENU button with short presses (at this moment, the receiver must not be in pairing mode). Each press activates the next melody stored in the memory.
In total, 10 sounds are available to choose from — ranging from a short, unobtrusive beep to a loud and continuous siren sound. After playing once, the sound will not repeat in a loop, but the light indication on the corresponding zone will continue to blink until the alarm is cleared by the remote control.
7. Certificates and standard compliance
The SensGuard X1 Alarm Receiver is designed and manufactured in accordance with major regulatory standards:
- CE marking: Full compliance with applicable European Union directives.
- RoHS: Manufactured using environmentally friendly components without lead content.
